GLOBAL MANAGEMENT CHALLENGE
is the world’s biggest international project based on business simulations. Already, more than 400 000 people took part in the rivalry.
Contest’s main idea was born 29 years ago in SDG company in Portugal. SDG, in cooperation with prestigious business school – Starclyde University from United Kingdom, created a sophisticated strategic simulation of company management. The participants are: Angola, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR, Hungary, India, Italy, Latvia, Macao SAR, Mexico, P. R. China, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovak Republic, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom.
Each year participating countries host simultaneous national editions. Winning team represents it’s country during World Finals. Last stage of international competition is the most important event of each edition. GMC 2005 World Finals were held in Warsaw in May 2006 ( representing Poland team Grom won Vice-championship!). In the successive Finals in Macao, polish representation also won second place! During World Finals in April 2007, sponsored by Millennium Bank team SIGMA came second after Czech Republic representation. A year later team Warsaw Leaders, winner of VIII. polish edition, left behind all european teams during GMC 2007 Wolrld Finals.
Global Management Challenge is a unique contest on polish market, which by many companies is considered to be an interesting and valuable business training tool. In accordance with “LEARNING THROUGH PRACTICE” idea, the contest is used to verify and develop knowledge on company management. It’s goal is also to promote participating people and companies, that are not afraid of new solutions and actively take part in the process of personnel development.
In 2009 BIGRAM Personnel Consulting, GMC organizer in Poland, begins the promotion campaign for tenth edition of Global Management Challenge 2009 - Euromanager.
In nine years this prestigious project gained position and recognition among many companies. More than 1000 people took part in the simulation. Success of the competition is confirmed annually by the growing number of registering teams. In the last edition of GMC Poland a record breaking number of teams took part – 371! That’s over 1500 managers and students.
